Response to Some good suggestions

I consider myself an ex-county highpointer.

When I first heard of the concept, I was intrigued and I climbed the higihpoint of my local county equivalent (Bashful Peak). But I then looked around at the highpoints of the adjacent couty equivalents (Mount Hunter, Mount Torbert, and Mount Bona) and I quickly decided that the task was going to be too large for me to tackle. I think tackling the 50 state HPs would be easier than tackling the HPs of the county equivalents adjacent to my hometown.
