Highpointing

Cogratulations on joining the club. Many adventures await you. Savor each climb, remember there are only 50 of them, take your time.
Don't worry that your wife doesn't share your enthusiasm. I finally got over my wife's indifference after 20 some years. I actually dragged here to 28 or 29 highpoints. She refused to get out of the car at several more and turned back on Mt Frisell due to the terrain. At the first Highpoint the club did in 1987 she stayed in L'anse with her girlfriend. She has been back to Mt Arvon since but never summited. It took me awhile to get over this since we are from Michigan.
Come to the conventions, they are a riot. I don't think I can make it this year because of my job. They don't understand either.
