What are the most attempts you have made on a HP?

I am currently making plans for a second attempt on Gannett Peak in 2010. What are the most attempts you have made on a highpoint? I have heard as many as 3 on Denali, Granite, and Gannett.

Anybody have an opinion on the best time to attempt Gannett? I have heard opinions ranging from early July to mid-August.
