It's New York, What Did You Expect?

I was happy to see that the New York Tourism commission has adopted a slogan that I used to have on my Marcy page.

In their ad, they show a French explorer visitng the state's natural wonders (in the first ad it was Niagra Falls) and an old timer comes up and says, "It's New York, What Did You Expect?"

I pulled the slogan a few months ago as a lot of people misunderstood my point. Many people thought I was being disrespectful of Marcy and the 'daks.

To borrow another NY Tourist phrase, I Love the 'Daks.

Of course there may be no connection between the two events, but I do have my fantasies.
