My mother-in-law lives in Corbin, KY. She lives very close to the Cumberland Falls - a gorgeous area. Luckily, the fire was on the other side of the river across from the Visitor Center, Lodge, and campground. She called last night and reported that they are expecting rain that should put out the rest of the fires. She said that the fires were started by arsonists. She said some men were driving a truck and just throwing out burning newspaper as they drove along the back roads. They caught another man starting fires from his four-wheeler. My father-in-law is a volunteer firefighter in Rockhold, Ky and he has been very busy lately. I wish them both well. | |
