I just spoke with Ed Bouchard, who survives his friend Henry Richardson as the access owner at Jerimoth Hill in R.I. He has agreed to allow access on the Monday after the convention, on July 30th. This will allow folks coming from across the country to visit during their vacation, while they continue on to do New England Highpoints. While I don't anticipate many visitors on that weekday, we have had many emails, letters, and phone calls suggesting just such a date. It has taken me 2 months to firm this up, but hopefully folks can start to make plans to hit Jerimoth Hill while back East.
The Memorial Day weekend Open Access Date went very well, with 50 visitors from a dozen states making their way up the steep and rugged trail to the Ocean State Highpoint.
Chris Butler & Chuck Bickes were the hosts, and spent the day informing visitors, guiding them back to the high ground, and chatting with Ed.
The remaining dates set up are Sunday July 1st, Monday July 30th, Sunday September 2nd, and Sunday October 7th. Hope one of these works for you if you have yet to visit the R.I. HP.
