On <http://americasroof.com/world/oceania-highest.shtml>;, where the highest points of Oceania are listed, it says: "New Zealand/ Mount Cook/ 12349 ft/ 3764 m". Many sources keep overlooking the severe landslide of December 14, 1991, that lowered New Zealand's highest peak, Mount Cook, by 33 feet (10 metres) within seconds.

Until today, the height remained stable at 12,316 feet (3,754 meters) for almost ten years. Though not really a remarkable time span for a geological entity. So, if anybody has been climbing Mount Cook, when and how high have you been down there or up there, respectively?

Tom
