Mt. Whitney Threatened with Subdivision
by Save Round Valley Alliance/The Sierra Fund

The Sierra Fund is working closely with an organization called Save Round Valley Assocation -- SRVA. They are the lead organization running the effort to oppose a subdivision in a previously undeveloped area at the base of Mt. Whitney, surrounded by existing and potential wilderness and wildlands.

Mt. Whitney is the largest mountain in the continental United States. The arrow on the photo above shows the location of a proposed subdivision of 54 10-acre homesites.>>>>>>>
