I heard a commercial for ESPN's Sports Center today mentioning something about a mountain climber Mike Holmgren brought in to talk to the Seahawks. Couldn't find anything at ESPN.com, but found this through Google:
At the start of this season, he invited mountain climber Ed Viesturs, the only American to climb all 14 8,000-meter peaks, to speak to his team. Viesturs encouraged the Seahawks to adhere to the same ideals that guide climbers, and the unflinching belief that nobody will let down the man beside him. He also offered them a symbol of that faith -- a hook known as a carabiner that climbers attach to their belts while scaling mountains. A rope runs through that hook and connects each climber to another while they're scaling peaks, which means they're all in this together. The Seahawks have gotten a new carabiner after every win this season.
