SeisNOTES is the newsletter of Echo Geophysical Corporation (offices in Denver and Houston). Each issue of this slick, glossy publication always seems to have an article about highpointing. This is done in the form of reports on the status of the company's project to visit all 50 highpoints by a group of their staff, including President John Jancik. So far, they've reached 47 of 50.

The articles primary focus is on the support for Tibet, which is why the highpointing project is being done. You may learn more about this connection, and how to help preserve the Tibetan way of life, by visiting www.50fortibet.org

San Diego Union Tribune, January 18, 2009

This article was noted on the Mt. Whitney Portal Store bulletin board. Quotes several members and leaders of the Highpointers Club.

In case anyone is looking for information on Mt. Whitney, the above-referenced bulletin board is a great resource for all things Whitney-related.

This article is no longer available on-line.

When we spot something like this, print out a hardcopy and mail to HP Club in Golden for our archives. Or better yet, copy/paste it into an email.
