Could someone please clue me in to the proper way to adjust the parralax on the scope that comes with the winchester 800x?

I found I could not adjust the right to left on the scope as mounted via the instruction sheet. There was not enough scope adjustment. By reversing the scope mounts so the clamp/screw was on the right I could adjust the side to side enough to sight in the scope. It worked for me. Better scope mounts appear to be needed.
