hey, i was wondering what people have done to their daisy powerline1000s (turkish edition) rifles, and if they could do a detailed description of the steps they did, and what kind of results they get for doing that modification.

Also, i was wondering what scopes you guys are using? and is the 3-9x scope that comes with it a decent one?

1. Filled synthetic stock with expanding foam. Reduced noise and cheap feel.
Removed action from stock, drilled hole in stock where rear of action would seat angled towards the grip area. Injected expanding foam into stock, allowed to dry, trimmed excess.

2. Minor lube tune. Reduced noise, improved velocity, and minor recoil reduction.
Complete tear-down with proper lubricants being installed before reassembly

3. Trigger tune. Improved accuracy and feel.
A. Counter sink adjustment screw hole to allow for adjustment.
B. Polish all mating surfaces and apply moly lube.
C. Replace sear spring with lighter version (also tried trigger spring but reverted to original to improve feel)
D. Alter angles where the uppermost sears make contact (the two closest to the piston). This allows for less effort and provides a smoother pull.
E. Installed screw in trigger blade for second stage.
F. Reduce "teeth" on safety rail to improve "feel"

3. Clean barrel. Improve accuracy
Not so much a mod but often overlooked. Use "Goof Off" or comparable applied to patch pued through bore by nylon string. Do this until patch comes out clean then follow with dry patches.

4. Wash pellets. Improve accuracy and increase barrel cleaning intervals.
Once again, not really a mod but often overlooked. It is amazing how much garbage is left inside a tin of pellets from production. Use a strainer (that won't be used for food afterwards) and rinse pellets in soapy water followed by plain water. Dry using a towel or other method.

5. Install a better scope. Improve accuracy.
The Powerline 3-9x32 is a good basic scope that has proven durable and fairly accurate. That said, moving up to a larger objective, paralax adjustment, and wider range of zoom can improve your groups further. I am running a Barska 3-12x40 mil dot on my 1000S with good results. Varying range is much easier with the mil dots and the finger turret adjustments are a big improvement. Clearer image in low light conditions.

I have a Brasilian version, but the process is more or less the same...

As for the sight, make sure you use a one piece mount; it will hold up to the recoil a lot better.  I have used both the B-Square and the Beeman, and both worked great.  As for the scope itself, I am using a BSA 30mm 2-7X Air Rifle scope, and it's held up great.  Great optics (I hunt mostly in dusk conditions, with some night hunting too), and can handle the recoil.  Magnification is good, but it could be better.  A 40mm scope should give you even better optics, all other things held constant, but make sure you get a mount that can handle the larger diameter.
