Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and to Daisy/Winchester Model 1000 so please forgive me my ignorance. I've purchased Turkish made Daisy Powerline 1000S about a week ago from Walmart. I do plan to tune it lightly. Muzzle brake is one of the options I would like to install. Here is my question: will Beeman's Crow Magnum muzzle brake fit Powerline's barrel or some mods need to be done? Also what would be the advantage of having Crow Magnum over Universal Ported? Thanks.

Here is a link to the brake i use on my 1000X and 800X.
It's a gamo plastic part and it taps right on, you just have to remove the front sight. It is only $14.95

I have them on my Genesis 1000 and both my Winchesters, the Genesis I had to use a small amount of epoxy because if the barrel stub is a little smaller than the 1000X/800X.
They fit perfect on the Winchesters.
To remove the front sight just take a 14 / 15 MM end wrench "can't rember which size it was" and it fits the barrel, tape the barrel so you won't nick it and just hammer off the sight. Y
ou can reinstall it later if you don't like it or going to sell the rifle and want to keep the brake.

hey this is great. i've been wanting to remove my front sight as these just don't line up for me at any distance (too much left for the correction i can make) and i'd like to put something back over the end of the barrel..
What performance difference if any have you noticed with the break on? what before/after changes have you noticed?
