1000x's. I have an older one (two or three years old) that I wasn't all that happy with. Because of your positive review on the newer ones, I went ahead and picked one up to try out. Well, it is definately more powerful by a good degree. How many shots did your's take before it smoothed out, became easier to cock, reach full power, etc..Like I said, this gun is definately powerful, but is an absolute beast to cock. Feels like the tolerances are very tight...the piston seal feels like it drags quite a bit. Did your's loosen up on it's own after X amount of shots or did the lube tune fix it? Right now, I'm deciding on whether or not to take it back and try another or just shoot it til it wears in. Got it at Wally World by the way. With only a hundred buck invested, including a decent scope, I'm not too concerned if I have to do some work to it,....could use the practice anyway, but only if this is how a typical, out-of-the box Powerline normally behaves. If not, I'll look for a better one. Thanks for any input.

This is typical of a new 1000 in my experience...

and will improve with use however, a lube tune is the way to go. Some moly lube on the washers of the barrel pivot improve cocking greatly and some minor trigger work can also offer some serious improvements. I found the internals (piston/seal) to be rather dry so some attention there will help too.

The cocking effort will improve with use but it will always be a bit heavy compared to a B18/19. The velocity on mine has stayed steady and I stopped counting shots after 2,000. I really doubt it will drop below 900fps for a long time. If nothing else, atleast check out the trigger tuning guide and get that sorted out.

I hope yours brings you as much enjoyment as mine has brought me.
Drop me an email if I can help out at all.

Russ

Curious as to where you found some info on the trigger tuning.
Amazing how heavy the trigger is.
I have had a great deal of trouble sighting mine in at 33 yds.
Even switched to a Bushnel scope and new scope mounts.
I found the Daisy pellets were real erratic when trying to sight in the rifle.
Had better luck with Gamo pellets but still some real erratic shots and that is with a rifle mount.

Any suggestions?

is available on my website in the documents section. I sent you an email with a link to the page but performing a search for RSE Airguns on your favorite search engine should pull it up too.
