F-16 with less problem then in the U.S.A.
I have a new Hatsan 1250 in .22 which make more 900 fps and it is very accurate.

Well, it's kind of a hung jury....

For power and accuracy, you can't beat it for the money. I don't know of any other .177 that delivers this kind of performance - over 1000fps is not unusual with real pellets like Crosman Premier 7.9's or Gamo Match wadcutters.

However, it is a very crude and rough gun with a heavy trigger and virtually no parts support. It's balance is so-so, and the recoil does hit harder than you'd expect. It is pretty stiff cocking, but that can be improved a little with some work.

Don't have a '34, but compared to another popular Walmart gun (the Shadow 1000 for $125), the Daisy has the decent scope (with useless mounts), about 20% more power, and comparable accuracy - but the Shadow has a much nicer trigger, better balance, better fit and finish - and it is a LOT less tiring to cock and shoot.

And there is some parts support for the Shadow... Gamo sells some stuff, while piston seals and mainsprings can be had from Crosman (those parts interchange with the Quest).

Dunno why another poster referred to Gamo as "crap", that just ain't true. I've had both my Daisy and Gamo's apart several times for various reasons, and I can assure you that the Gamo is definitely better made.

To a lesser extent the same can be said for the Daisy vs. the Crosman Quest (a Chinese copy of the Gamo, but not quite as well made). As I alluded to earlier, though - Crosman has COMPLETE parts support for the Quest model, which is really, really handy.

But, all that being said - the Daisy is not without its charms... like an old American muscle car that is noisy, rides hard, and squeaks and rattles all over the place - but will practically tear your head off when you hit the gas!

Depends what you want. My biggest concern is, of course, the lack of parts support - especially for that mainspring. Frankly, that's a dirty trick on Daisy's part... and for that reason alone I'd be tempted to say "stay away from it" (especially as an only rifle).

Unless someone comes up with another source of parts, that is...

Is a rifle that can reach out to the 1000fps barrier. Mine does 970fps with RWS superdomes (8.3gr) $160 start shooting right out of the box I have yet to do anything but clean it. Check the link

I have a RWS36 with Bushhnell scope that was bought in the late 80's by my uncle and supposed to be the same as the latest 34 except it's not as fancy no checkering and such. If it's anything like this the 36 I have with good scope it ought to be a real goood gun. I brought down lots birds, cottontails, and afew jackrabbits. I enjoy hunting/dispacting pest. The gun I have hasn't had hardly any repair or maintance done and it still downs game without any problems.
