Does anyone have experience or advice about using a red-dot scope? It seems like every time I pick up my 1000X to do some shooting, I have to readjust the scope. I am able to shoot fairly tight groups but one day the groups will be to the left then the next day the shots will group to the right etc... I suspect this may be a paralax issue. How can I minimize this?

Just by chance are you keeping BOTH eyes open when using the red dot. This is how they are used, both eyes open, I know it made a big difference when shooting my dot.

Just out of habit, I close one eye. I will try leaving both eyes open and see how that works. Thanks.

Will the location of the sight on the rifle make a difference? I currently have the scope mounted against the stop. What if I mount the scope further forward?

I guess you could but I don't know what difference it would make.

I have a BSA Red Dot on one of my Shadows and it is against the scope sop and that's where I have always had it.
Works just fine for me.

Like I said before the Dot type scopes are best with both eyes open. I like it because when I hit something I can see what happens to it much better that with a scope or just one eye open.

Leaving both eyes open seems to solve the problem. Thanks a lot, I'm glad the solution was so simple.
