Daisy Winchester 1000 mainspring specs...

For those who have been asking, here are the specs and some notes.

43 coils
.500 inch inner diameter
.125 inch wire diameter
11.5 inch free length

I have installed the JM Tarantula spring in these guns with good results. The guide and tophat need their diameters increased and a spacer installed to adjust pre-load. Without the spacer the gun will shoot at 800-850fps 7.9 grn CPL's. With the spacer, velocity is similar to stock.

Noise is about the same. Some improvement noted but that probably has more to do with fitting the guide and tophat to the new spring than anything else. Still some piston noise.

Note that in most cases this gun is more accurate at 850fps than at 1,000fps.
