I just disassembled a Powerline 1000, a Turkish model from about four or five years ago. I'm just curious as the front of the piston has a hollow cavity about a 1/4" deep. I thought the piston was supposed to be solid. I'm just wondering if I may have a "de-tuned" model. I really have no idea what it's supposed to look like so any info would be great. Thanks!

This is actually the end of a threaded hole, into which the rear section of the piston is screwed. Look into the back of the piston through the cocking slot and see the remains of a screw head sheared off. So the answer is the cavity does not need to be there, and the piston is two piece contruction.
