Just got a 1000, didn't like the front sight in the scope picture. I still wanted something to protect the barrell/muzzle, but didn't want to get a muzzle break. I just ground off the fiber optic portion with a ziz wheel and cleaned it up with a razor. It looks factory and I still have the muzzle protection I want. The boss for the front sight is still in the picture, but I would say it is 85% less visible than before. Just a tip for anyone looking to clean up their scope picture without spending any more $$$
Oh, I'm not sure if it's because I have a "later" production model possibly but, while the trigger action is less than "match grade", it's decent for a $100 gun. I was very apprehensive about getting the gun after all the things I've read about the triggers, but I would say this one breaks around the 5-7 lb. range, but with a bit too much creep, mind. I will try the mods to address that if I don't adjust around it myself. Thanks to all on these forums, as it became my primary research place before I purchased. Cheers mates! |
