I keep seeing the name Hatsan intermingled with the Winchester posts. Is the Daisy a copy, or just a license built re-named gun?

Dave, it's my understanding that the Daisy and the Winchester 1000 series rifles (not positive about the 600X or 800X, but I think them as well) are made for Daisy (and sometimes marketed under the Winchester name) in a couple of places, one being Turkey by the Hatsan Co., and others in Brazil. Basically similar guns with slightly different appointments. I think if you get a chance to read back through previous posts on this forum, you'll find info that explains it better than I did.
