***IMPORTANT-- KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY FROM THE TRIGGER AT ALL TIMES DURING THE COCKING/LOADING OPERATION***
You might try this; holding the pistol grip of the rifle in the right hand (assuming you're right-handed), with your left hand sorta do an open-hand palm slap in the downward direction right behind the front sight. That should "break" the barrel open so you can see the near end of the barrel. After it's opened that far, hold the end of the barrel with the left hand and continue to pivot the barrel down towards the bottom of the stock till you hear/feel the click of the sear catching on the piston (it may be a relatively easy pull, but more than likely it will take some effort). For safety reasons, you should then maintain hold on the end of the barrel with the left hand, and transfer the stock to under the left armpit while doing the actual loading; this is so that if the trigger were accidentally pulled or the trigger/sear was worn enough to let go, the barrel wouldn't snap shut while you're doing the next step.
With the barrel in the fully open position, you should see the chamber at the near end of the bore. Place your pellet, closed end forward and open end (skirt) to the rear into the chamber, and fully seat the pellet so the skirt doesn't project past the back end of the chamber where it could cause damage to the seal.
Then you should, in one smooth motion, pivot the barrel smartly back into the closed position, making sure your fingers aren't near the trigger. At that point it should be ready to fire. Sometimes it may take a couple tries to close it if it doesn't close right up and you may need to put a little more snap into it.
Hope that helps.
