I read your article on grip. I was wondering if you'd humor me by trying a tight dynamic grip, as with a pistol, and pulling the gun into your shoulder firmly. I have found I get about 5 seconds of "rock steady" hold and it gives me good shots. I was wondering if in you have tried this what was the result. If you haven't, would you? Daisy 1000. I don't use the hold all the time as it is just uncomfortable. But I think one could get use to it over time. I just want to hear it from someone, with experience, who has actually tried it. Thanks.

Will,
I am not familiar with the article you mention. It may have been written by Russ Best. This is why I always sign my posts as Russ S. to help avoid confusion.
Concerning grips and such, I have used that tchnique before and it can bring good results with some guns. The main thing to keep in mind is that your aim point will change if the grip changes. This is why I tend to use a loose grip since it is easier to reproduce the same conditions easier than it is when using muscle to control the recoil.
This is something that is drilled into your head when training for competition. Use bone support and not muscle.
Just my .02
