I'll have to look, but on my other forum-some time ago-there was a british dude that had a NICE setup. I'll have to see if I can find it again...
Personally, I'd go to the local gun store, pick out a basic, narrow nylon sling, a screw in sling mount(for the butt stock)and some velcro.
There has to be a way to use the foregrip retaining screws(on either side of the front of the stock) to have a washer mounted sling mount thatworks and still looks nice.
If this is the case, no need for the velcro.
Do you use a scope? If so, remove the rear sight aperture and you should be left with a screw, a screwhole and a post.
there must also be a way to mount the front of the sling to this screw(with a washer)...?
Just thinking aloud...

I thought about using the foregrip retaining screw, but my lead hand is most comfortable right where they are located. Using the remaining hardware after removing the rear sight is a possibilty I might try later on another 1000S. I appreciate your thinking out loud!
I went to my local gun store yesterday. They had a barrel band swivel set, Uncle Mikes #1051-2 for barrel diameters .540 - .590. So the top of the sling is mounted to the barrel using the band and a quick dis-connect swivel. It looks great. It's functional, I can easily adjust the sling with 1 hand and the swivel isn't the same spot where I like to support the rifle. So half the riddle has been resolved and I am quite pleased.
Here's the next issue. The gunsmith said most synthetic stocks that are designed for this type of mounting have a pre-determined location that is re-inforced to receive a wood screw type thread or is already threaded to receive a machine screw. So the question is this, Has anyone screw mounted a swivel into the synthetic stock? Is it possible to simply screw the mounting stud for the other swivel into the stock without some extra re-inforcement?
Thanks!

Most synthetic rifle and shotgun stocks are usually ready to receive a mount screw, but I would not assume that the same is true with Daisy/air rifles.
I just spoke to Tony at Daisy 800-643-3458 and he told me that the synthetics ARE NOT reinforced! and that if you really wanted to use a mount sling system, that you should move to the wodden stock(which I am considering for noise reasons myself. Call the number above, ask to speak with Tony(they are AWESOME-just performed about $150 worth of labor, not including shipping both ways to my 3 year old 1000s rifle FOR FREE)
If my memory serves me, the wooden stock is only $45, while a replacement syn stock is $60 or $65.
The wood is a better option INHO anyhow(much quieter).
Let me know what you find out.

Tony is a nice guy, everyone at Daisy has been great. I'm not sure if I am going to switch to a wooden stock or not. They quoted $65 for it, I'll probably just stuff the stock and find a different remedy for the rear sling mount. I don't want to end up spending much more money on this rifle.
I've been playing around with a Benjie 392 lately. So my 1000S project has been on the back burner. I never noticed the page markers at the bottom of the main forum page so I asked questions that I could have found answers for on my own in older posts. So thanks for your patience with my somewhat remedial inquires.
Have a great day!
