Daisy 499 Champion firing behavior?

I just tested my brand new 499 and found that it produces a fair amount of vibration. My also brand new Red Ryder produces less vibration than the 499. Any body else notice the extra buzz of the 499? Is this normal? The 499 shoots fine otherwise.
