Not sure why you mention the Halpins as Straight Left, this is the usual Rosserite smear tactics there and the "Straight Left plot" conspiracy theories have been fairly thoroughly debunked on this list.
The real tragedy is that the library is being lost to the movement as a whole not to the CPB.
Rosser's scorched earth tactics may mean that should there ever be an effective challenge to The Family, there won't be much left.
I note you pass over in silence her move into ever more open anti-communism rather than simple hostility to the CPB. She is effectively aiding a mini withchunt in the capitalist press.
