IS THE NEW BRS (CPB) PROGRAMME REVOLUTIONARY?

Response to Nosism

Neither "CPB" Member or Jeremy Hawthorn actually adddress the political issues raised in our contributions made recently arguing for a mass working class Bolshevik type communist party in Britain.

None of the contributors have made any comments about the role of the Labour Party: is it an agent of the capitalist state apparatus or can it be changed/trannsformed into an instrument of popular socialist democracy leading to working class power of state?

We are of the firm opinion, going by the record of the Labour Party in Government, that it is firmly on the side of capitalism and the state dictatorship and is a party which is against the best interest of the working class and its allies.

If we are wrong, explain how we have erred?

Please make some substantive comments instead of personalising our contributions.

We think people like yourselves (CPB member, Hollis, Hawthorn, et.al) are actually incapable of going beyond tired old revisionist slogans).

Nevertheless,we would be delighted to discover that the new BRS is a revolutionary document which goes beyond the worn out mantra of : a left Labour Government ushering in socialism.

The proof will be in the pudding, we will contact CPB HQ in Croydon to order the new BRS programme and then will get back to these web pages with our comments.

Best Wishes,

Yours Fraternally,

Mervyn Drage,

For a Bolshevik type CP
