Response to Re: THE WAY FORWARD FOR COMMUNISM IN BRITAIN.
I agree with everything Perry says - with one exception. He regrets the loss of a phrase about changing the policies of the Labour Party from the current edition of the BRS. But the struggle to change the policies and leadership of the LP takes up a whole section of the current edition - and of the new draft edition. The loss of one phrase - and its replacement by the perspective of reclaiming (and if necessary re-establishing) the LP - doesn't have the significance he appears to give it. The perspective of reclaiming or re-establishing the LP has been agreed by overwhelming majorities at recent CPB congresses. To portray this development in policy as some kind of surreptitious exercise by or on behalf of a 'section' of the CPB leadership is a misreading of the position.
