      My memory is that the situation of the Sorb people was highlighted in GDR publicity and propaganda. I seem to remember articles etc in the glossy GDR English-language journal. As I understand it they were considered "Slavs" by the Nazis rather than "Aryans", and were discriminated against but not subject to the wholesale murder like the Jews and Roma people. Is this right?
