could someone enlighten me on the crosman m 1 carbine is it collectable, is it rare, how many variations was made what would be a fair price for one? tia

collectable, on a couple levels. One, as an airgun, two, as one of Crosmans better efforts, three, as a military replica. They aren't what you'd call rare, but nice ones are hard to find. Usually the magazine is missing, the Croswood (plastic) stocks are notorious for cracking at the grip, etc. Theres 2 variants- the first year of production had a wood stock, then the Croswood version for the rest of the run. Prices are going up it seems for the M1, $100 isn't out of line for a decent one, and mint wood-stocked guns have sold for over $200.
