Shedding age and hairwork

I've grown more and more sick of my excessive shedding and am somewhat desperately trying to find a solution. I do believe that the biggest reason is my sleeping problems. I haven’t had more than maybe five night of good sleep for the last three months. I don’t know what to do to stop this and the heat (25-30 degrees Celsius outside AND in my bedroom) we have now certainly doesn’t help.

Anyway, I remembered that I read somewhere about age related shedding so I looked it up and it was in an interview with George Michael: http://www.longhairlovers.com/gm_interview.html

However, that says excessive shedding occurs at, among others, age 22 and 26. Since I’m 24 that doesn’t make sense either. I can’t remember having any more shedding than usual when I was 22 though so maybe I’m a late shedder. (I know, I know I’ just grasping for something here)

On the good side, at least I have a thing to do with my shedded hairs now. I went with my mother and father to a crafts fair yesterday and ran into a woman who does hair work (a so called “hårkulla”. http://www.hairwork.com/erika/erika_story.htm This is not the woman we met but her works are similar.). I and my mother are going to make a cross by both our hairs. My mother agreed to have some hair cut out at the fair but I refused (I need all the hair I can get) so I’m going to gather my shedded hairs and send them to her. I know that jewellery made by hair gross some people out but I think it’s a kind off nice way to save a piece of a loved one.
