It’s been a long while since I last updated my journal and the time is running sooooo fast! I’m in desperate need of a search and destroy mission but so many other things happen that demands my time .

Since last time I tried an over night (or was it over day? Don’t remember) treatment with shea butter, jojoba oil and honey. My hair really liked it and came out very soft and shiny. Haven’t done it again though but it’s on my to-do-list. I also tried corn meal as a dry shampoo and it worked far better than I thought. Most of the greasiness disappeared and it was so much faster than my regular scalp washing.

Well that’s it for now. Lots of other things are screaming for my attention.

May 11 2005, 11:47 AM

I finally had some outdoor pictures taken on my hair.

The picture to the left is taken in the shadow and the one on the right in the sun. I think the right picture shows my real colour best. Hopefully I'll be able to take some more outdoor pictures now when the weather is finally getting a bit warmer. Maybe I can convinse my boyfriend to help me...

S & D

May 14 2005, 10:12 AM

So I finally took the time to sit down and do a search and destroy mission on my hair. It was SO needed. Some of the ends had split a good three inches and I had a lot of multiple splits (one end had split multiple times).

I did this yeasterday evening but still found some split ends this morning. Seemes like I'm fighting in a never ending battle I can't win

Since I'm going to be home cleaning the whole day ( ) I'm going to do an all day deep treatment with egg, honey, oil and shea butter. Hopefully this will help my dry and brittle ends to be stronger and not split so easily. *crossing my fingers*

vinegar rince

May 20 2005, 5:47 PM

I tried a vinegar rince yesterday. I used red wine vinegar, diluted about 50/50 with water and also put some EO:s for the smell. Well, my hair is very smooth and shiny but I really can't stand the smell! It's rather strong and makes me feel slighly sick. So even though I would like to have my hair down and enjoy the shine I had to put it up to get it away from my nose.

Next time I might try some apple cider vinegar instead. I've heard it doesn't smell as strong and I'm thinking that if I dilute it some more and with a drop or two of EO:s I'll be able to stand the smell.
