First, here's a link to my hair related New Years Resolutions:

I should also add "do regular scalp massages" to that list. I hope I can do it at least but it pretty much depends on how much my arms hurt. They have been worse the last few days so I'm a little down about that. Don't think they ever will be fine *sigh*

To keep this hair related: My ends have been feeling kind of scraggly and I'm debating if I need a trim or not. I did a S&D the other day and actually there where less split ends than I thought The biggest isue with a trim is that I don't know who I can trust doing it. The last hairdresser I went to cut of 4 cm instead of 1 (not really her fault, I'm just too darn shy to tell her what I wanted and just started to agree with her) and also said that my hair wouldn't grow any further than it was (that is about BS). I've asked my mom before but I know that she will cut more than I ask her too and it just doesn't feel right to ask my friend. That pretty much leaves myself and I'm not sure I will do that great either. I guess I could try doing it myself woth Feye's instructions and if it looks really bad no one will notice since I always wear my hair up anyway.

I've been thinking about that lately (that I always wear my hair up I mean). I know it's good for the ends to get the extra protection updo's give them but I like my apperance much better with it down. If I wear it down, though, I feel guilty and just keep picturing ends that split. (weird, I know) I'm actually starting to debate if long hair really is for me...

honey & conditioner

January 8 2006, 7:13 PM

I tried deep conditioning with honey and conditioner yesterday after reading a lot about it on LHC. I mixed one part honey with two parts conditioner, applyed it and waited for about half an hour. It really didn't do anything special. I'm going to give it another try next time I do a whole hair wash which will be in a week.

clarifying and deep conditioning :)

January 12 2006, 6:40 PM

My ends have been tangling a lot more than usual lately and after reading about a girl who got a lot less tangles after clarifying. I thought "great!" and decided to do it. I mixed some bakong soda and schampo, washed and rinced. To put back some moisure in my hair I decided to make my own, homemade deep conditioner with egg (for some extra protein), olive oil, honey and aloe vera. I put it in, waited for nearly an hour  (I think at least, I forgot to look at the watch...) and rinced it out. BIG MISTAKE! My hair felt really yucky and still dry and brittle which ment I had to wash over again (which I really didn't have time to do, should have been going to bed instead). My hair felt ok afterwards but not better than before clarifying. So basically it was all just a waste of time. *sigh*
