I measured in on 77cm/30.3" today. It does feel special to finally be over 30" but other than that I'm not very pleased with my hair. I need a trim but I SO want to hit waist (3 cm more) before I trim anything and then I can't trim because that would put me above waist again.

So, shall I cut or not? What if I cut 3cm (I think this is what needs to be taken of to make a difference) and my hair behaves and looks the same? Then I would just have 3cm shorter hair that I still don't like.

No mather which way I go I think I'm going to stay at waist for at least a couple of months to see if my hemline thickens up. (At least that's what I think right now, we'll see what I decide once I'm actually at waist...)

My shedding is still going strong.  I finished my bottle of MSM this week and I don't intend to buy more. I haven't noticed any difference in either my hair or nails using it.

BAD hair day

October 5 2006, 4:02 PM

I'm having a really, really bad day. Mostly hair wise but the rest also kind of sucks.

First I washed my hair this morning only to realise half an hour before I had to leave home that it wasn't clean. This resulted in a panic scalp wash which in turn resulted in a lot of tangles and me having to use the blow fryer (cool setting but still...) to get my hair dry.

Then of to the hairdresser to get a much needed cut. When I reached the salon I realised I had ten minutes to spare and went to H&M for a quick check in their hair toy department. There I found a fakkake maximas in plastic for 30kr (about $4). Now this would have been great news if I hadn't found a real ficcare on eBay yesterday and bought it for $34. *sigh*

Anyway, back at the hairdresser I asked for a 1-2cm cut. She claimed that with only 1cm off I wouldn't see any difference. I knew this was true (sad but true) so I told her "ok, 2cm but NOT more". She started cutting and it was depressingly little hair that came of. Not in length but in volume. Apparently my hair is very damaged in the centre back so she hardly took anything of there. I didn’t know it was that bad and I don't quite understand why that part has more damage than the rest. Actually she took so little of that she didn't even charge me for a full haircut. Now, that's a good thing, I know but it just made me more conscious about how thin my hair is. *sob*

The only good thing at the salon was that she complimented my hair sticks. That made me kind of happy since I just finished them today and wasn't completely sure about the design. She even thought I should start selling them.

As I got home I measured my hair and sure enough, she did cut more than I asked her. She took of 3cm and that puts be right back at 29". Before the cut my hair actually started to look waist lenght but now it's right back at looking bra strap length and only with a slightly straighter hemline.

Everything just feels blah and I would just like to go to sleep and forget this day ever happened. But I can't off course, I have to go to a party with my work colleagues. Really not looking forward to it.

Henna glossing

October 18 2006, 8:35 AM

I did a henna glossing this monday and I'm really pleased with the result. I only got a slight colour difference (which was exactly what I wanted) and my hair is shinier.

I mixed (don't know the exact measurements):

deep conditioner (a bit more than I usually use for all the hair)
a sprits of ACV
a sprits of olive oil
about 1tsp henna (light mountain mahogny)

I think this could become a way to "spice up" my hair when I'm bored with it.
