I've been on this site for over 6 years (I was unfortunately the one who's unintentional misinformation all those years ago led Mr. Oldman to write a response here) and I know that many of us have been hoping for a reliable resource like this that entire time.

good to have a place to get confirmation of the true stories and quick correction of the wrong ones, though we have learned over the years which media sources to be skeptical of and which sources to be trust, although even the Hollywood Reporter said that Gary was in "discussions"

Yes, but at the time the Hollywood Reporter and others reported it, the item was not true. The "scoop," so to speak was not a scoop at all because it was not true. As far as we can gather, someone at the studio jumped the gun on this announcement. The first place we found out about it was from the numerous press announcements around the world, even though at the time it simply was not true. This is why we wanted to make it clear that at of Monday there was a start of a necotiation, but not before as mistakenly reported everyplace. Now you can have a reliable place where these things will be addressed in real time. In other words, if it isn't there, it isn't happening!

I'm really glad that comments of the fans are beginning to count (the fact that Gary an his manegment did not seem to respect the fans has been argued recently by man of the other contricutors to the message board. Thank you Mr. Urbanski for rcognizing us at last and giving us some official news, it will be appreciated.

what it says is that Gary is just now beginning to negotiate for that role in the Longest Yard, so maybe someone just has powers to see the future, LOL, or I wonder do studios do this thing to put pressure on actors to accept roles or what, or like trial balloons, OK I get it now, Gary is in a blockbuster movie, they want Gary for the role, they haven't even began the process of "talks" but if they namedrop Gary's name, he is in a blockbuster movie, their little film gets more PR, OK we're learning, we'll figure out the Hollywood game yet....

and that Gary is negotiating to do a character voice in an upcoming Star Wars movie

and that Gary is still filming Batman in London and Chicago....

I read Gary's response thingy and he didn't seem that annoyed Spamlet. I suppose you can't really repeat the manifesto now but it must have contained somethinf related to the fact that he had to sacrifice his only (at the time) child in favour of a woman. I don't mean to be harch and there may have been other circumstances involved but this does seem to be that case. Some people genuinlely are unable to be there for their children for reasons that are not dictaded by themselves

As for Gary Oldman, I do believe he is a great actor. There is no dispute about this. I know you agree. Let's just leave it at that, shall we?

I meant no offense darling! My filter really did read it that way , WHY? I do not know! I have never seen or heard of Gary do anything HOrribly bad. If I am sometimes a little disappointed, it is only as one person to another. But, I wish the best for Gary, even when he irritates me unendurably. As for Doug, I sincerely doubt I have ever traded messages with the real Doug, it's the fakers that annoy me so. To the real Doug, I dont know you, so I can neither like or dislike ya.

you didn't offend me , it's just that i'm irritated like many of us to read all the time "yes gary should make more movies" etc ok we want cause we love him as actor but what about his life? like he said he is first of all a father then a filmmaker.if you respect him i think you should respect his choices even they don't suit you.
i don't want to play the police or else it's not my role but i think some persons should think before posting messages it is a public forum ,people can freely read and some be very influenced by them so please stay adult and let's the "light" messages to the chat or instant messengers discussions it's my feeling about that and it is not hypocrisie it's just that in public we must behave like adults that we are supposed to be.

Checked out the site and will make it one of my favorites. I plan to check it often for any official news on GO's movies. And thanks for taking the time to set up the website.

The hardest thing for me living in upstate New York is locating some of the movies that I know he has made, but which may not be distributed here such as TipToes. I found Interstate 60 in a video store - joined it so I could rent it after I called the video stores in my area. Perhaps you can give information on where to get some of his recent movies that may not be in all theaters.
