Hi everyone, I only found out that Gary got divorced cos all the websites I've looked at are kinda outta date. So he's engaged again! Flip Gary is catching up with Liz Taylor lol. I saw some Harry Potter premiere pics on yahoo but thought the blonde was Donya before I knew he got divorced. Cos wasn't Donya blonde at one point? I don't know I'm losing track of his wives lol. Still Gary is as gorgeous as ever so I can see why he hasn't any trouble with the ladies. He's so great in that Barclay card ad as well. Hope he never loses his accent, so sexy lol. Talk soon!
No, you had it right: her name is spelled Ailsa. Yup you have already seen a pic of her if you saw the Potter premiere. She was also with him at the premiere of "The Panic Room" about 2 years back.
'k! So,Spamlet, can you put the pic of Gary with Ailsa @ the HP premier on this site, so I know I'm lookin at the right girl?
Also, how old is she?
Liz Taylor, how funny! ;)
Thanks,
Kat
Hi again, I found a pic of her, several in fact. Go to yahoo, click on movies, type in gary oldman, click on photos and go to premiere photos and there's a few with her and gary at the panic room premiere and one with gary and alfie(who looks kinda embarassed to be there, typical 16 year old!) at the hp premiere. Judging by these photos she's a lot younger than gary lol. probably early 30's. She's so lucky! 4th time lucky let's hope!
the ones at the premiere of panic room say he's with his wife Donya, ignore that cos they got that wrong. It's Ailsa. But I can understand how hard it is to keep up with Gary's women!
Yeah, you can see the reason for my obvious confusion. IT is hard to keep up with his women, but then my own brother Gary is the same way, unfortunately. HE has a lot of the same probs, maybe it's a Gary thing!Lol!
I know my brother would love to have GO's money and fame. Though he gets too many ladies without those things! HE too has the most beautiful electric blue eyes! His latest lady is also a much younger blone. Last reunion, I was too embarrassed to ask him if that was his girl or one of his daughters! He's such a goof! Well,we can wish all the lusty Garys in the world, God bless! Big LOL!

Upon viewing this much discussed photo of our mutual hero and company; my first reaction was how much his son resembles Leslie; what a handsome young man, yet there is a bit of his father in him that is struck in the spirit of his pose—a bit of a chip off the old block I say! The young ladies in the photo I noted as well, the son’s date appeared overwhelmed and awkward as a girl her age is expected to be when confronted by such an event, how exciting for her! The beautiful lady at our hero’s side, with her much debated expression and age, I must admit I sympathize with how she must feel to be at the side of such a larger than life character such as he. Although he is very human and is as mortal as the rest of us—it must be so hard to be as young as she, and to try to meld into his life, with his history, his present, and his future all set out before her underneath the scrutiny of the public eye. Then I saw the shoes…honey, if I was teetering around on shoes like that, I’d have a puss on me too!
So naturally, after seeing the photo I couldn’t resist coming here to read the reactions in The Darkside forum, it’s such a happenin’ place. Retract your jealous claws girls; although you may wish more than anything to be the one by his side, keep in mind there is no privacy in the fishbowl, no matter what fences, walls, hush-hush, under-wraps, even the best intentions—there’s always public and media speculation (aka rumors) right or wrong, it’s there to be consumed by the inquiring minds that want to know. It seems the meanness of society is reflected in some of your words of criticism and tongue n’ cheek banter, and it is a pity that the reaction to assess the young woman is so harsh. I do not wish to admonish anyone, we are all entitled to opinions, I’m all about free speech…well, shame on me and my filthy liberal soap box, I’ll just wash my mouth out and wave my upside-down stars and stripes in surrender to the righteous rabid right….but I digress. (sigh)
I rarely visit this forum anymore because of the tedium of the back and forth drooling blah blah blah and bickering yaddah yaddah yaddah, tho’ some of the discourse amongst the regulars is honorable and sweet; many of you should be commended for your dedication. This place is a study of human nature for sure! I know that I have learned a lot coming here, and sometimes it makes me sad… Before I go, I only wish to be the voice of reason and perhaps, if possible to teach something of value. Words are such powerful tools, value them, don’t just throw them out there without thinking through what you must say—every tool is a weapon when you hold it right.
Anyway, cheers to our mutual hero…and may he have happiness, health, love, and all those wonderful gifts life offers along the way. Peace and fare-thee-well! LJWR.
You're right about words: they can shape your life. Use the wrong ones...you receive the strangest of lives. Destruction. High taxes. Bad sushi.
On the FLIP SIDE: Expect the best. Declare the best. That is what you receive. It is not difficult to understand.
Humanity has been saying this for centuries: you get what you give. Action/Reaction. Cause and Effect. Though there ARE ways of being rescued from plain stupidity and falseness. It all takes a golden heart and a lesson learned.
Ta.
P.S. Given the opportunity, I believe I could handle living with Gary. Sober living with another is the BEST!
With just the right amount of wit and good humor! Come back and visit again soon. We'll try to follow your advice, but we are very human...
Please feel free to rant on your good natured liberal soap box, I'm right there with ya, just not quite as eloquent. And yes, words are mightier than the sword, I agree completely. YOur words are civil and profound, and I thank you for the great example of exactly what you mean, clever!
