Gary Oldman was devastated to discover his Harry Potter character had been killed off by author J.K. Rowling - because he thought the franchise would be a money spinner for him.
Oldman plays fugitive wizard Sirius Black in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - which is currently filming in Britain. But the wizard is killed off a the end of book five, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Oldman says, "I was sad when I found out. I thought - ooh, five, six, seven movies. I could have earned a few quid here.
"We knew someone was about to be killed off but not who."

Well if I were Gary I would not be happy either. I believe Gary's character is still alive.... lucy
We've known this forever! It was highly traumatic for all of the Harry and the Gary fans. Totally thrilled that Ralph Fiennes is joining the gang. Tehy have so many great actors in the franchise. Someone needs to write a fabu series Gary can do 6 or 7 of. Should keep im busy til he's ready to retire. Tehn again, not everyone does retire,LOL!
Hmmmm, I'll have to think about that. What about the rest of my fellow novel and screenwriting buddies?
Can we bang out 6-7 books for Gary's sake?
Ha, easy! Lets get cracking gang!!
Love to all,
Kat
yeah, Ralph Fiennes is great. i'd love to be able to work with Gary one day in the future, though i don't see how he would really need work, he's easily one of the best actors this day and age.
I wonder how exhausting it was for him during the filming. One thing is sure...he did look very tired on the premiere of HP...or maye it was that suit and his bad haircut lol.
