I'm told my RM needs a new pair of compressor belts. Garage can order them in but they need to know what size they are (without taking them off and cluttering up yard awaiting new ones). Anyone have this info to hand? It's a 1962 bus with original engine etc. Thanks. Sam.

I've been in contact with a company called J&M belts based in Grays 01375 373975, (thanks Tim for letting me know of them). They supply belts for just about anything. They are very helpful indeed. They can either normally match if you take a sample in to them. Or as i found when i opened the trap door the belts have codes on starting with SPA. The compressor ones on mine is SPA1120, but double check yours before ordering. As most know by now RM158 is a standard AEC thoughout. I also found the fan belt is numbered SPA1060, but like i say just double check. Hope this helps..

I collected the 2 types of belts i required on Saturday morning with no problems at all. They have a large parts book available that covers everything you could every need from axle stands to plumbing, although strangely i can't find belts in it even though they are called J&M belts?? Next job to fit them.
