Chaps ,

I'm sure you'll agree this effort on Steves part is something to be thankful for .

Many of you have put your name down on the wants list .

Steve foned me last night [ 11/05/08 ] to express a degree of anxiousness as to whether ALL those who responded will come good and actually now follow up his efforts and payup when he asks for the money . Unlike the RM Assoc' Steve is doing this off his own back from his own pocket so I would kindly ask all who want a plug to be fully prepared to actually payup when asked to .

As these plugs take a bit of work requiring some delicate soldering work to be fully wired up then please be a little patient .

Use Steves e'mail address to contact him off group just to keep in touch and he will respond individually as the plugs are ready for posting out to buyers . As with purchases from the Association its the same with Steve you pays up and goods sent by return .

Hi All

The best way to take the mystery out of whether a purchaser will pay for work is to ask for a deposit. 25% would seem reasonable. After all, don't we all have to pay a restocking fee if we buy something from a motor factor only to return it. Also, don't we also have to pay for things up front before a company will special order them. Our neighbours many years ago used to run a furniture shop. A couple came in and ordered two chairs exactly to their specification. When the chairs arrived in the shop the couple came in and promptly announced that they didn't like them! As the salesman had forgotten to get a deposit or any upfront payment there was nothing that could be done. The chairs are probably still there. Just a thought.

Cheers!

J
