Hi All

Here are some piccies showing RML2603 doing what RMs do best - making people happy! These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago when we used RML2603 for leaflet distribution to promote Vacation Bible School at Canyon Ridge Church in Bellvue, CO.

Cheers!

J

Hi John

Do you have any problems with your Bus in the states. Are parts a problem for you? It must be a sight to see peoples faces as they see a London bus go by. Its a sight here but in the states.

Cheers

Hi Harry

So far so good on the spares front. Tools are really cheap in the US so we've been able to equip ourselves with heavy duty (big) tools. Likewise, nitrogen and the paraphernalia to do the brakes. We're gonna have to change one of the brake accumulators very soon and I may bring one back with me from England. Actually, to avoid drama at the airport I will ship it prior.

The low speed of the bus is an issue on the larger roads so we don't use them. The height of the bus is a problem for some traffic signals. In Fort Collins the traffic signals (which are suspended on wires across intersections) are at 16' 6" in town and 17' 6" out of town. But, there are some exceptions so care is necessary. On East Vine there are traffic signals with a height of only 14' 0". They are clearly signed as having such a low height so we simply avoid them. And, as always, we have to be careful of trees. Trucks are normally 13' 6" maximum height in the US so the foliage is not cleared to the same height as it is in the UK. In short, we scope out our routes prior to avoid mishap.

We are doing routine maintenance without any issues but if it goes 'dead stick' whilst we are out and about we will just have it towed back to the house and scratch our heads.

Cheers!

J

By the way, Harry I was sorry to learn that you had to sell your old girl. Let's hope an opportunity arises for you to purchase another one in the not-too-distant future.
