Working on it Roy , should be available by next Cobham rally , just having the specially extended fflexible stainless steel hydrualic pipework created and backup pump installed in the right hand side of the Conductors locker area for ease of priming and accessibility in the umlikely event of 'lockup'.
The bus is also fitted with a heavily modified 'B' Frame 'flexible' body carrier mounting to cater for movement of the ' rear steer' over the famous London POTHOLES so common along the Kings Road. The bus is also equipped with the biggest Panhard Rod I've ever seen , it is from a scrapped 'Loadhaul' Freight locomotive 'Draw bar' with 4,000 tons breaking strain clearly marked along the topside. The only problem was that when it was turned at FULHAM BROADWAY it usually took 7 shunt moves instead of the usual 13 so common with some drivers of Routemasters these days plus of course it usually took up the complete 'stand' space so all other buses timed behind the tail had to park over the road outside the cafe until the bus left . With this kind of rearsteering the bus seldom actually made it to Liverpool Street Station meaning the best turning point was to be MANSION HOUSE one way system I think it was someway East bound past St Pauls ..
I think that was were I first met the driver Mr Morrey and his 'crew' of 4 conductors / 2 per deck - but only in the rush hours . Mr Morrey gave me an excellent ' tour ' of the bus , making him 22 minutes late for the off while the conductors had even more cups of tea and time to do a bit of personal sightseeing, pointing out the various special mechanical differences to all other Routemasters that he'd previously driven. His praise of all things Routemaster along with the special skills & training this bus required became legendary after one particular trip along the EMBANKMENT somewhat short of Chelsea !! .

I had heard that tucked away in the corner of Croydon Garage gathering dust, is the elusive prototype Routemaster trolleybus. Maybe Al could nip round the corner for a quick snap.

Looks like RMXL was out on a job the other day....
"On Saturday the pair, from Wimbledon, got hitched at Morden Hall before transporting their 125 guests in a London Routemaster bus to the hotel." ....
