Slightly OT, but I'm hoping that someone might have a bright idea about sourcing a small quantity of moquette for a Titan. It's the orange/brown stuff, as originally fitted to the LT Titan fleet. I think it's called "District". Has anybody got some?

Morning Charles

Check on the LT Museum website, I'm sure it is 'District', as was fitted to the District Line stock from 1978. Apparently it was also used on most new buses at the time, Metrobus, Titans e.t.c.

Link for you to check out:

Hi Charles - subject to what Al turns up and other offers, you could try the very helpful James Newton at Furtex/Interface Fabrics in Mirfield, West Yorkshire ( 01924 490591 ) who produce "Eyes Down" and no doubt "District" as well (which IS what you want). Last time I spoke to James they were prepared to sell by the metre

Hi

i was responsible for re manufacturing the RT Moquette through Holdsworth.

i am getting final order togeather for a run of Pre Mod Green line moquette followed by mod Green line moquette,

I tried to get an order for DMS blue and Titan brown/orange but had no takers. Holdsworth have none of either in stock and LT only have 50 metres for their own use.

If Al cant help you, i can put you on the waiting list forwhen i put another order togeather.

If there are any takers for the RT moquette, there is again a rerun being put togeather but i need takers for another 270 metres,

Many thanks

David Cooper

HOLDSWORTH and FURTEX ......... ARE NOW THE SAME COMPANY , the company that owns FURTEX bought Holdsworth last year .

Anyone wanting any LT BUS moquette should contact JAMES NEWTON in the first instance ....... HOLDSWORTH ARE MORE EXPENSIVE -- but that might have changed now being joined at the hip ..

Hello Charles, if it actual complete seat cushions you need for your Titan in that fabric. I know whenever i been to PVS yard 'up north' in Barnsley they have always got a couple of Titans knocking about with them in and in good nick too. Might be worth a call and seeing how much too transport down etc? Just a thought as it might save on the delay on getting them covered instead..

Thanks, all, for your helpful suggestions.

The Barnsley option is not one we had considered - can you guarantee there are definitely Ts there with seats at the moment, Mark? Has anybody else been there recently?

All the yards, PVS, Alan Hardwick and Geoff Ripley have bundles of Titans lying around.

Hello Steve/Charles
Well the last time i was up there was November but i've been a regular visitor/customer for the last couple of years and theirs always Titans knocking about. I'm planning a trip up there in the middle of March if you can wait that long and i will bring back if you let me know which ones you need? Let me know off forum and we can sort out from there.. Regards Mark
