I have now, as promised some months back, a quantity of MALE SECURITY PANEL BYPASS PLUGS.
I showed these at the AGM if those who saw them recall and I now have a stock quantity available.
PRICE is .. £4 INC P&P direct from me , member or non it makes no difference to me with this offer.
IF you use the special '3 PIN' STARTER BOMB PLUG with your RM or RML then these plugs WILL BYPASS THAT PANEL and GET YOU HOME in the event of FAILURE OF THIS SECURITY PANEL, which can happen unexpectedly !!
To fit the bypass plug you will need to remove the FRONT switch panel -- DESTINATIONS / SIDE LIGHTS == top left hand side etc -- then remove the screws holding the SWITCH panel in place to reveal this security panel neatly fitted behind this sw/panel ..... carefully split the 2 white tough plugs you then see == one male / one female and insert the BYPASS PLUG as is obvious , carefully refit the switch panel to stop it flapping around , leave outer cover plate off until you get home . Assumming that this securiy panel is the problem then you will get home with the bypass fitted ..... the plug can be left there for indefinite period if you so wish and of course also whilst the security panel is being repaired if you so wish.
It simnply deletes the need for the 3 pin plug and circuitry associated with it in this small panel.
This is an EXCLUSIVE OFFER and at £4 should be snapped up .....
So for those who are responsible owners you should have in your ' emergency first aid kit ' -- mechanical version !!-- ONE SECURITY PANEL BYPASS PLUG / ONE SPARE STARTER BOMB KEY / ONE 551 GEAR UNIT BYPASS PLUG / ONE LUCAS STARTER RELAY / 3 identical small BOSCH relays for the security panel , even with these this panel may have failed hence the need to bypass / ONE 2BA NUT DRIVER and ONE SMALL BROAD BLADED screwdriver ......... IF THAT LOT FAILS TO sort the problem then shout a loud version of HELP !! OR if necessary I can still carry out yet another fiddle that should help if most of this you don't have.
iF assumming all goes well I'll have these plugs at NORTH WEALD ..
