Good news if there's any truth in it. I've seen Browny recently and whilst it's great to hear him doing a lot of Roses stuff in his live set it doesn't sound/feel the same without John Squire... there's always that worry that any new material they produce would be diappointing too... oh well, we will see.

Theres always the chance that when bands break up then get back together the music is shit and they have no sucess whatsoever, they always try and look 'cool' and 'hip' for the younguns but fail miserably eg duran duran (not that they were any good in the first place) XX

It's probably not fair to compare the Stone Roses to Duran Duran.... but I agree with the sentiment of what you're saying. Having said that, it would be fantastic to see them live again - I only got chance to see them live once before they parted company and would love to hear 'She Bangs The Drums', 'I Am The Resurrection' and 'Made of Stone' live again... **shivers down the spine at the thought of it**

call me weird but i think that duran duran were a realy decent band we... the old stuff anyway.
the new stuff totally sux but they were really big in the 80's and they made millions so hey! what the hell man...
be happy not sad.

if this is true then this is great news, im a grea fan of the stone roses and would love to get the chance to see them live!
