Looking forward to taking a trip over for the gig Weds night.

After four years waiting, can't believe I'll finally see a full band show...

Oh dear,
Wednesday I'll be playing solo at the Savoy and not with a band as we had previously planned. Over the past little while I've been stealing about 1/7th of The Jimmy Cake for my live shows and as they are playing Whelans as part of Strange Brew on the 22nd it won't be possible for them to join me in Cork.

If you're in Dublin and you can't afford the train fare to Cork to come to my gig you may as well go to theirs.

Having said that I'm really looking forward to being let out on my own and from rumours i've heard Knock Knock @ Savoy is a nice intimate vibe.

If you're in the UK and you've already booked you're fare and you're still talking to me - then you're welcome to be in my band. Rehearsals at 5pm sharp outside the venue - bring a bottle of vodka, tambourine and a pair of fingerless gloves.

That's pretty funny - you can't say fate doesn't have a sense of humour...

Still worth it - haven't seen you do a show longer than 1/2 an hour so it'll be grand.

I don't know if you do requests, but anything off 'We're Smiling' plus my favourite oldie is 'Pauper Tiger' if you still play it - though anything really... it's all grand.

Really enjoyed the gig last night. Fantastic songs. And even 'Pauper Tiger' too. Who needs a band! Wonderfully special little gig.

I even saw some blue sky this morning - though within an hour it was raining again!

so i was, so i took the day off work
very nice gig Annie, really enjoyed the songs where I could actually hear them unlike the chaos in Waaaaahufurd.
Chris very nice meeting you too, glad you got the see some of the unique parts of cork like the Hi B, nothing like a bit of Oasis singing to close off the night
