goblins 4

I am at the very beginning. I have picked up everything and can't get any further. How do I use things in the inventory on each other? I have fed the plant the pickles, gave the bread to the bird and gave the plant the fishbones and .... something else, but can't remember. I am stuck. I can't go outside, can't use the pencil, clicked on all the pictures, but nothing more is happening. do i have to restart?
