Every time I go to the kids in the manhole and try to play with them my screen goes black. There is a message about using the "use" key or something, but I can't see anything. Finally, one kid says that " you are no match for me" but, there is no quill in my inventory. Is the screen supposed to be black? I even went back to a saved game and that happened again.

after going back to another saved point now the screen isn't black and I have my conker made, but there is no option of them giving me a quill. they just say play for 5 grouts and I broke the kid's conker, but they said it was a weak conker and now they just want to play for grouts again. How do I get them to say I can get the quill? thanks.

after so many times of getting a black screen, sometimes during the game, sometimes as soon as I started, I went to my room and had the chapter reload, and then went back there and YES. i got the quill. finally. I had to go back to porkins and have him tell me that the kids were in the sewer. I didn't ask him enough questions before. so, onward and upward. thanks.
