Hello,
tried to run this archaic FMV game on WinXP. all goes smoothly except one thing:
i can't see the dialog tree on the bottom of the screen during conversations.
any ideas? there doesn't seem to be a patch anywhere. is it an XP problem?

Hi,

No one has yet found an answer to that problem.

Take a look at the following links:

Inferno's Setup/Walkthrough

Steve's XP Games Corner

Yeah...

I bought this game, and have yet to be able to play it as well (same problem)... I have tried to run it under XP and Vista Home Premium as well.

Unless Virtual PC under Windows 7 Professional (which I am upgrading to when it is released, as I abominate Vista) will allow me to load DOS in a virtual machine in a usable fashion, I am really thinking about trying to find an old laptop, and load DOS on it.. This is a truly annoying problem.

I have a large stack of older adventure games that I have not yet been able to play because of various compatibility problems.. Some older you can get to run on newer systems, and some you simply can't, DOSbox or not.

This game works very well when played under Windows 98 thru Virtual PC. All text is readable.
