It's a long time since I played my old video games, Syberia, Black Mirror, Schizm, etc which are sitting on my shelf. I see from your forum that people are still enjoying these games and wonder if they are using updated versions or if the original disks still work on the newer computers? I now have a laptop running Windows 7 - any advice please, or should I just try them and keep my fingers crossed? Best wishes Mr Bill, look forward to your advice and any from contributors.

Most are revised versions to now play on newer machines.

Hi Pamela,

Most that are being played today on newer computers are updated to run on newer computers and newer operating systems. One such company is gog.com (Good Old Games.com). GameBoomers has more information on this. Only a few can run on newer machines without some adjustments.

Here is part of GameBoomers that shows what will run on what:

If you have more questions ask. I hope you have been well.

Take care,

Mr. Bill
