To each his own. I'm still bummed that "Helter Brooklyn" or "A Day In Jimmie's Life" didn't make the finals of the BenTravisContestamundo. Plus, wasn't Ben in the top five (or six)?
I thought cheating was not possible with this new system.
Regarding "CAmpaigning" vs. "CHeating" on another thread: I told about 20-25 people about this contest; after phase 1 was over at least half apologized to me for forgetting to vote. So, most of my votes apparently were from people I do not know. Then I've really been too busy in other areas of life to devote much time to "CAmpaigning", so I figured what happens, happens.
If you compare the Phase i totals to the Run-off totals, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon or a brain scientist to see that all five finalists had less votes the second time. Why? Because people don't wan't to be bothered, or they're afraid to give out their email addresses, or whatever- I don't know, Babs.
But I do know this- if you can do the math, I lost less votes percentage-wise than anybody else. Again, why? The only clue I have is on one of the other threads where one of the other contestants initially dismissed it on the basis of my, with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, poorly chosen soundbite, and when he listened to the whole thing, "got" it. I guess others did the same- but hey, it's a roll of the dice either way.
Congrats to the winners and the runner-up. Bravo! Three cheers!
And applause to the other contestants for having what it takes to submit something. Anything.
If you're gonna respond, "Anon-o-mouse", at least be clever enough to make up a funny bogus name.
