Another defence witness testified he never saw Hilton have sexual contact with the two alleged victims, despite seeing them together frequently between 1995 and '98.
Jackie Coonan, a stage hand for a New York TV station, said he and Hilton became good friends about six years ago when they attended a boxing match together.
He said everything seemed "normal" whenever he would see Hilton with the two girls.
Under cross-examination, Di Salvo asked Coonan about his uncle's criminal past.
Coonan admitted the man, Jimmy Coonan Sr., is serving a jail sentence for his connection to New York's Irish mob, known as the Westies, and is mentioned in a book by the same name.
But Matte sustained an objection by Skolnik that no further evidence about Coonan's family was relevant to the case.
Another witness, Sean Cummisky, testified he saw nothing inappropriate between Hilton and the two girls during the few days the group was together in Florida in January 1999. |
